Here’s a post for all our friends and customers that need to try and raise funds rather than make money… believe me it’s a big difference. (and I know it’s about the internet but I think we can make an exception for charity!)
4funding.co.uk are an innovative fundraising organisation for good causes. They have a range of services which can make fundraising much more easy for causes such as scout groups, childrens event teams, addiction support groups and regional improvement projects.
This article explains the central 4Funding service, which allows members of a cause or charity to trial fundraising for the cause or charity by shopping on the internet and earning commissions.
For example, many of the popular High Street shops such as Marks and Spencer will appear on the portal given to the cause or charity by 4Funding, and each time supporters click through from the web portal to the M&S website, any items bought will be tracked and a referral fee paid to the organisation. This is usually on a share of the order value, and there are also several easy cash earning options which do not need a purchase, perhaps completing a market research survey or entering a contest.
Even aside from the free items that do not require a purchase, the fundraising potential is huge – for example a scout group with only 15 scouts would each have support from at minimum 4 mums and dads, grans, grandads, friends and other relatives, 60 supporters all together (15 x 4). If they were to each complete 4 prize draws and one survey, they would most likely make the scout group £1.50 commission each, a total of £90 for the group. As you can guess, this is conservative when you consider many packs have a lot more than 15 scouts, each having many more than 4 friends and family members.
On top of this how much a lot of people pay out online annually and you can begin to understand how this scheme has become so popular for organisations.
The volume of included shops is growing by the day – a few hundred are included at the time of press. Recently, lesser known shops are being included – introducing new gift buying opportunities for birthday gifts and in the festive rush.
Regardless of whether you are looking to buy everyday products such as books, get a better deal on your Motor Insurance or even participate in the odd competition, why not fundraise for a cause or charity and make them money too – you don’t pay a penny more, and they’ll certainly be thankful for it!
