Everybody over looks a Pop Up banner Stand yet it is a great stand that in this day and age is a cheap marketing tool.
The Pop Up Banner Stand or sometimes known as the Static or Tension banner stand is a really flexible piece of marketing equipment. The stand is light, a lot lighter than a traditional banner stand and so easy to put together. On the whole the stand tends to be the cheaper option as there is less metal work, keeping the costs down. Also they are easy to link together making a continuous backdrop so again making a cheap alternative to a pop up stand.
They make fantastic semi permanent features and look great next to an item in a showroom. I have known schools use them in a reception area and because they are so light are the best thing to use if you travel abroad a lot for business.
The Pop Up banner stand works by attaching a rail to the top and bottom of a graphic then using a pole to tension the stand. Unlike the more traditional stand the graphic does not roll back into a base but can be easily rolled up for storage.
There are different styles and combinations so it will take a little research as to the best one for you (but this is no different from a normal stand purchase). There are ones that can extend as high as 3m and have an optional literature stand that can be attached to provide a self contained display unit. They have a telescopic pole at the back so you have shorter graphics and can even be used as a desktop display. Alternatively there are styles with a funky bases making it a stand with a difference.
The Pop Up banner stands just like a normal stand is made from aluminum but pine and bamboo versions are becoming more popular as an eco alternative.
When looking around for a cheap stand don’t disregard the pop up banner stand because when erected, it really doesn’t look any different to a traditional roller banner stand and costs less.
